UTAH VALLEY ALANO CLUB:

  • A meeting place for twelve step groups to hold meetings on a regular basis.

  • A facility to provide social and recreational activities for the recovering addict/alcoholic and their families in a clean and sober environment. Eventually a cafe will be added.

  • A resource for recovery related literature, medallions and other relevant resources.

  • A non-profit corporation funded entirely through meeting rent, donations and contributions from supporting members.

  • Not affiliated with AA, NA, Al-Anon or any twelve step program. 

  • No.  The Utah Valley Alano Club (UVAC) is completely separate from AA and is not considered an AA entity of any kind.  It is a place where AA and any other twelve step group can rent space for meetings.

  • The Alano Club is not affiliated with any detox, rehab or treatment center.

  • The Alano club is a non-profit entity that has entered into a lease agreement with the option to buy the building.

  • The Utah Valley Alano Club is operated by a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization governed by a Board of Directors responsible for setting strategy and making key decisions for the club. The full board determines policies and major initiatives, while individual board members are responsible for specific operational areas such as facilities, security, construction, treasury, meetings, fundraising, store, and general management. Board members are elected by club members every three years on a rotating basis. The day-to-day management of the club is handled by volunteer managers and staff, ensuring smooth operations.   • Membership is available to anyone wanting to support the Alano club and vote in elections, but membership is not required to use the club.

  • Supporting membership require a monthly contribution of $10 or an annual contribution of $100.

  • By becoming a supporting member you will support for the Club’s mission of supporting twelve step recovery. Being involved in this way supports space for meetings and fellowship. Your dues will go to fund community education about recovery resources.

  • Meeting rents are based on the room being used. For the small downstairs room the monthly rent is $40 while the bigger downstairs room is $80. For the large upstairs room the rent is $120. Groups that are new and starting out or having trouble paying rent should reach out to the meeting manager.

  • Anyone interested in starting a new group or moving their existing group to the Alano club should use the “Request Meeting Form” button on the Membership page of this site or speak with the club manager on duty.

  • Starting a new group or meeting should be handled by the group along with its own service entities. The Alano Club can help with available meeting times and any meeting room requirements.

  • Currently he Alano Club hold two major fundraising events and one fellowship oriented event. Casino Night is a popular fundraiser that happens in February. They also put on a Golf Tournament in September or October. There’s also a Halloween fellowship event.

  • Typically any social event at the Alano club welcomes members from all fellowships. Sometimes a group might want to host an event for everyone from all fellowships.  If, however, a group wants to have a “closed” event, please see Cyndee at 801-427-3594 to discuss availability and possible arrangements.

  • The Club Manager (Cyndee) will have the club open most afternoons - Monday - Friday. Other than those hours, the club will be opened for meetings by individual groups. Check our website for the latest news about hours of operation. UtahValleyAlanoClub.org
